LEEC (Experience‑Centered, Founder‑Focused)
Darrel Adams is the Founder and Executive Director of the Learn & Earn Empowerment Center (LEEC), a survivor‑led program designed to restore stability, confidence, and long‑term readiness for individuals rebuilding their lives. His leadership is rooted in decades of lived experience across Camden, Gloucester, and Burlington counties, where he has served quietly, consistently, and with deep commitment to community uplift.
Drawing from his own journey, Darrel developed LEEC’s signature rhythm‑based model — a structured pathway that guides participants through essential milestones such as securing identification, establishing communication tools, building resumes, and preparing for workforce re‑entry. His approach blends faith, discipline, and practical support, creating a program culture grounded in dignity, safety, and rising motion.
As a small business owner, survivor advocate, and movement leader, Darrel has built systems that turn everyday steps into long‑term stability. His work centers on empowering individuals to reclaim their rhythm, strengthen their foundation, and step confidently into new opportunities. Through LEEC, he is establishing a legacy of accessibility, professionalism, and survivor‑rooted leadership across South Jersey.

Founder’s Message
The Ups and Downs of Employment & Safety in the Workplace
Employment is not always steady. For many survivors, it comes with real ups and downs — moments of progress, moments of setback, and moments where the workplace itself becomes unsafe or unpredictable. I know this journey personally, and I built the Learn & Earn Empowerment Center so survivors never have to navigate it alone.
Survivors bring strength, resilience, and lived experience that can transform any workplace. But too often, they are expected to perform without the safety, structure, or accommodations they need to stay employed, grow, and compete fairly. Safety in the workplace is not optional — it is the foundation that allows survivors to show up fully, learn new skills, and build independence.
At LEEC, we teach survivors how to use their tools — documentation, communication, identity, technology, and self‑advocacy — to protect themselves and stay competitive. We help them understand their rights, request accommodations without fear, and build the confidence to stand in their truth. When survivors have the right support, they don’t just survive employment; they succeed in it.
